Overview

The entire world is going through the most challenging global pandemic in a hundred years. COVID-19 pandemic has created a disruption with lasting effects. The world we know has completely changed and has heightened the need for leaders and managers to be equipped with future orientated capabilities  for not only to navigate self, the workforce and the business in the “new normal “ but also have  fresh perspectives and new thinking for future disruptions.

Being a “Future Leader” is about balancing the three core roles of a leader : Strategic Leadership Business Management, , and People Development in a new dimension where boundaries are ever being blurred, the volatility and uncertainty of business conditions and environment are ever increasing  , digitization becoming imperative for business continuity , the future  workforce and workplace being both physical and virtual . 

Outline

In this 1 Hr prelude Overview session we will address 

· The current and real-time problems against the spectre of the COVID-19 pandemic and the resultant disruptions, 

· Insights on how business are coping thru the transition and building the pathway to a New Normal

· The changing role of a leader and the challenges in this new environment,

· Applications of the “Future Leader” framework and future orientated leadership capabilities 

 About the Speaker:

James Siew is an Organizational Development practitioner and Sustainability Advocate with over 20 years of experience in the field of Learning, Performance and Organizational Development. He specializes in future-oriented leadership development and specializes in transformation. James has worked in both management consulting as well as internal learning and development in various industries. James has a special interest in leadership development, culture transformation and sustainability management, and has led consulting projects in strategic leadership development, culture change, talent management, performance management and human capital development best practices.

He is a Singaporean and has worked extensively across three continents: Asia Pacific, Europe and North America over the course of 25 years, and is currently based in Canada. He is currently based in Canada, where he just completed his Masters degree in Economic Development & Sustainability Management and has since conducted research with the University of Toronto and the University of Waterloo.
